Blue Advantage is the name for Ford’s Certified Pre-Owned vehicle program. There are three categories of Blue Advantage vehicles: Gold, EV, and Blue, allowing you to confidently choose a reliable vehicle that fits your needs and your pocketbook. Let’s take a look at them in more detail.

Gold Certified

This award is issued to gas and hybrid vehicles that are six years old or less and have less than 80,000 miles on their odometer. The vehicle must pass a comprehensive 172-point inspection by Ford technicians and have a clean title.

EV Certified

This award is given to fully electric Ford vehicles that pass a meticulous 127-point examination and are less than six years old with less than 80,000 miles on the odometer. They must also have a clean title.

Blue Certified

To be awarded this certification, a gas, hybrid, or all-electric vehicle must be between six and ten years old with 150,000 or fewer miles on the odometer. It must also pass a rigorous 139-point examination. Like Gold and EV Certified vehicles, it must also possess a clean title.

Warranty Protection

All Blue Advance vehicles are covered by a Ford warranty. In the unlikely event of an issue that wasn’t detected during its examination, the vehicle will be repaired by Ford-trained technicians using Ford-approved replacement parts at no charge.Gold and EV Certified vehicles are protected by a Comprehensive Limited Warranty that applies for twelve months or 12,000 miles. Gold Certified vehicles also enjoy a seven-year or 100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty. The unique drive components in EV Certified vehicles are covered by a BaseCARE EV Limited Warranty applicable for eight years or 100,000 miles. Blue Certified vehicles have a ninety-day or 4,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty.
