US Hockey Hall of Fame

We love our ice hockey, and this center inducts all the heroes of this wonderful sport. It opened in 1973, and its mission is to preserve memories of hockey and honor hockey legends. Over 192 members have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. The museum features uniforms worn by the inductees, photos, exhibits, and other memorabilia.

There are also sections devoted to Olympic and Paralympic champions. Kids will like the memorabilia, and they’ll love the mini-hockey game and hockey practice area. Leonidas Outlook

This outlook provides amazing views of the surrounding landscape. From the top of the outlook, you can see all five working mines in the valley. One of the mines is just 200 feet below the outlook. To reach the top, you follow a curving dirt road to a large flat area scattered with brush and stands of trees.

After an energetic day out with the family, it’s a place to wind down and enjoy the vistas. The outlook is fenced, so it is safe for the kids to wander and enjoy the view. Mesabi Trail

Mesabi Trail has hosted an annual long bike ride in August since 2005. You don’t have to wait for the bike race to enjoy a pleasant bike ride, as the trail is open year-round. There are approximately 132 miles of paved road you can ride on. The trail wends through 28 Minnesota communities, and this provides a huge variety of amenities. 

Coffee shops, convenience stores, gas stations, and restaurants are only a few of the necessary services you’ll find on the trail. Hiking, walking, and jogging are also really popular.
