The F-150 is Ford’s dependable and innovative pickup. In 2021, the popular truck was given some major upgrades. The 2022 Ford F-150 is back with the same impressive features as the previous year’s model and a fresh new paint option. Check out what drivers are loving this year.

1. 8 Trim Levels To Choose From

As with 2021’s model, the 2022 F-150 comes in 8 trim levels. Choose from the XL, XLT, Lariat, Platinum, Limited, King Ranch®, Tremor®, or Raptor. The basic XL features a 3.3L V6 engine, backup camera, and Dynamic Hitch Assist, while upper trim levels offer upgrades in comfort and functionality. The uppermost trim level, Raptor, offers a High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine and features specifically for off-roading, such as the Trail Control™ system and Fox™ Shox.

2. New Exterior Options

2022’s version of the F-150 offers a handsome new paint option, Atlas Blue. The Lariat High trim level also offer a new Black Appearance Package, with black-painted aluminum wheels, black hood and grille accents, and dark-tinted tail lights, among other striking features.

3. Towing Features

The F-150 is, without question, a powerhouse for towing. With a towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds when stocked with the V6 engine, you’ll be able to tow a load with no issues. A multitude of available towing options, including smart trailer tow connector, on-board scales, and smart hitch, make it simple to haul and monitor whatever you are bringing along.

4. Drive Modes

All trim levels of the F-150 feature drive modes that optimize the truck’s performance depending on driving conditions. Drivers can choose from Normal, Tow/Haul, and Sport modes with the XL trim level and higher-level trims offer even more specialized modes like Slippery and Trail.

5. Optimum Performance

With all trim levels of the F-150, the engine choices impress. From the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 to the 5-liter V8 engine, there is no question that this truck has the power you need. With a 10-speed automatic transmission, there is reduced drag and improved acceleration.

6. BlueCruise

For those looking to try out hands-free driving, Ford’s BlueCruise technology is available. This allows drivers to take advantage of over 130,000 miles of divided highway that are classified as Hands-Free Blue Zones and cruise hands-free.

7. Modern Safety Features

Ford knows drivers need to feel secure while driving. That’s why modern safety features, like blind spot monitoring, traction control, electronic stability control, and lane departure warning are available. Airbags and a 4-wheel anti-lock braking system come standard as well. With all of these features, it’s no wonder that the F-150 comes with a 5-star NHTSA safety rating.

Continuing with the previous year’s improvements without any major changes, 2022’s edition of the Ford F-150 has the look and performance that drivers want in a dependable pickup. Across all trim levels, it features impressive engines, upgrade options, power, and towing capacity. Take a look at our inventory at Lundgren Motors Ford so we can get you set up in a new vehicle today!
