It offers unrivaled high-performance driving thrills when you head for the trails or the desert. Here we take a close look at the Raptor’s capabilities.

Rugged Exterior

The 2024 F-150 Raptor comes standard with a spacious four-door crew cab and a 5.5-foot bed. It features a unique full-width grille with block FORD letters, a vented hood, fender flares, front tow hooks, and running boards. Skid plates protect the front differential, transfer case, and fuel tank.

For night-time driving, the Raptor has LED reflector headlamps, RIGID LED fog lights, integrated marker lamps, LED side mirror spotlights, LED cargo box and tailgate lights, and LED taillights. In the wilderness, the Raptor’s standard bed-mounted 2-kilowatt Pro Power Onboard generator enables you to power up electric items, such as speakers, heaters, or a mini fridge.

Power and Performance

Under the Raptor’s hood is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine that delivers 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The Raptor R features a mighty 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine that pumps out 720 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are mated to a slick-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. With the V-8, the Raptor R can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds.

Off-Road Capability

The Raptor comes standard with four-wheel drive, a two-speed transfer case with low-range gearing, electronic locking differentials, upgraded axles, independent front suspension, coil spring rear suspension, sport-tuned FOX internal bypass shocks, and 17-inch wheels with 35-inch all-terrain tires. It has 12 inches of ground clearance, a 31-degree approach angle, a 22.7-degree breakover angle, and a 23.9-degree departure angle.

The Raptor R adds 37-inch all-terrain tires and beadlock-capable wheels that allow you to drive even with low tire pressures for maximum grip on loose surfaces, like sand. New for 2024 are FOX Dual Live Valve shocks with variable rebound control for a smoother ride. This pickup also offers increased ground clearance of 13.1 inches, a 33.1-degree approach angle, a 24.4-degree breakover angle, and a 24.9-degree departure angle.

Trail Technology

Putting vital information where you need it is a 12-inch digital instrument display and a 12-inch infotainment touch screen. Helping you stay in control, whatever the landscape, is the Raptor’s Terrain Management System. There are various drive modes to select from to suit the driving conditions or your personal preference, including normal, eco, sport, tow/haul, slippery, deep snow/sand, and mud/rut.

Trail Control is an off-road, low-speed adaptive cruise control system that takes care of acceleration and braking while you concentrate on steering the vehicle. With the Raptor’s Trail One Pedal Drive, lifting your foot off the accelerator pedal will slow or stop the vehicle. For tight, low-speed turning situations and to help you get around obstacles, Trail Turn Assist applies the brake to the inside rear wheel to reduce the vehicle’s turning radius.

This truck’s innovative features and technologies help maintain its position as the ultimate off-road pickup for adventure enthusiasts. Schedule a test drive today at Lundgren Ford to experience the 2024 Ford F-150 Raptor for yourself.
